George R. Wargo presents
“Concrete Concepts” - A discussion on
concrete materials and terms used
in modern day construction, including
tips on quality control testing and
management/review of test results.
Common concrete quality concerns such as
cracking, curling, flatness, levelness
and moisture emission will also be
discussed.
For over 30 years, George
has been employed by Construction
Engineering Consultants (CEC). The CEC,
Inc. laboratory is located in Swissvale
(Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania. Currently,
he is the Manger of Civil/Structural
Inspection & Testing. Formerly he held
positions as the Past-President of the
ACI Pittsburgh Area Chapter,
Past-Chair for the ACI Committee 311,
"Inspection of Concrete". He is an
Active Member on a number ACI Technical
and Certification Committees, and Fellow
of the American Concrete Institute.

Head northwest on I-76 W.
Take Exit 28 for I-79 toward
Erie/Pittsburgh. Follow signs for
US-19. Keep right at the fork, follow
signs for Cranberry and merge onto Perry
Hwy/Rte/US-19. Turn left at Freedom
Road.
