ASNT Pittsburgh Section’s June meeting will be hosted by  Castlewood Rod & Gun Club. Dust off that old shotgun and come on out to see if you can still hit a few clay pigeons.

This event is open to ASNT members and their guests. Dinner will be picnic style with charcoaled steaks. Beverages are included. 

A special 10 station Sporting clays course will be set especially for this year’s event. Everyone shooting the sporting clays course will be competing for this years honor of being the 2008 ASNT Pittsburgh Champion.

Castlewood offers several other clay target games including Skeet, Trap, a multi-level 5 station shooting experience they call “The Pyramid” and  a computer operated 5-Stand. Ammo is available at a reasonable cost. Loaner shotguns are also available, but you must reserve one if you will need to use a loaner.

Bring an appetite, at least 3 boxes (75) shotshells and plan on having a good time with your fellow ASNT members & friends.

To make your reservations, call Gary Young at 724-752-0055 ext,3194 by no later than Tuesday, June 17th, 2008. Please Note we are cooking steaks on the grill if you don’t reserve one we may not have one for you. You must call Gary for reservations.

Directions: From North or South east of New Castle, Pa: Take I-79  to the Rt-422 (Butler/New Castle) exit. Go west toward New Castle 6 miles to Lil’ Johns Wood Shop on the left (½ mile past Living Treasures Animal Park). Turn left on Mill Bridge Road @ the wood shop. Go 1 ½ miles to Shaffer Road (third road to the right from Rt-422), Go 1 mile on Shaffer Road to the Club grounds on the left.

From North or South west of New Castle, Pa: Take I-60 to Rt-422 bi-pass @ New Castle, Go east on Rt-422 , 2 miles past Sheetz  Go right on Mill Bridge Road @ Lil’ Johns wood shop. Go 1 ½ miles to Shaffer Road (third road to the right from Rt-422), Go 1 mile on Shaffer Road to the Club grounds on the left.
